 Ingredients for the syrup

  • Two vanilla
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/2 lemon

Ingredients for the cake

  • 6 eggs (split)
  • 250g of pure butter
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of semolina
  • 1.5 teaspoons of beige pickers
  • 1 lemon (the zest)


Mix the sugar with the butter until it is soft. Throw the yolks and continue hitting. Add the flour, baking powder, semolina and lemon zest. Beat the egg whites in a meringue until it is soft. Throw them on the previous materials and mix them gently. Put the mixture on a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes at 180 ° C in a preheated oven.

Let it cool. Cut the ravani into pieces in the baking dish and slowly pour the lukewarm syrup

For Syrup 

Boil water with sugar, vanilla and lemon juice for 7-8 minutes.
